SUMMARY:2021 Reaching for the Cure
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce the 23rd Annual Reaching for the Cure event will take place virtually on Sunday\, May 16th! For 22 years the Reaching for the Cure has brought together 5\,000 community members from all over Southern California to eliminate childhood cancer. This year families from across the nation will be able to join us by walking in their communities. \n\n\n\nVoted #1 in Orange County\, this “must-do” event will take on a new virtual format – featuring new ways to engage outside the limits of an in-person experience through a mobile application\, movement challenges\, and more. Join us online & in your neighborhood. \n\n\n\nRegister as an individual or team to join the Reaching for the Cure and activate your personal fundraising page! Your virtual race will kick off on May 16th and run through May 30th\, so you can pick the day you run/walk. All participants will receive a personal fundraising page\, access to the new PCRF Mobile App\, an event shirt\, a limited edition PCRF face mask\, a virtual bib\, and a finisher medal for joining the Reaching for the Cure. \n\n\n\nReaching for the Cure Fast Facts\n\n\n\nEvents Available: \n\n\n\nVirtual events – Half Marathon\, 10K\, 5K\, 1K Kids Run\n\n\n\nAll participants will receive: \n\n\n\nA personal fundraising page\,Access to the new PCRF Mobile App\,An event shirt\,Limited edition PCRF face mask\,Virtual bib\, andFinisher medal.\n\n\n\nPacket Pickup options: \n\n\n\nMay 14th and May 15th\, time and location TBAOpt to “ship your stuff” at registration\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHealth & Safety: Recognizing the changes with COVID-19\, we will be offering a virtual experience for our participants\, with a drive-thru packet pickup on May 14th and 15th. \n\n\n\nEvery step we take helps raise awareness and funds for leading-edge research with the best hope for a cure.
