“Warriors of Wellness” Event Will Take Place on February 10 in Laguna Beach, Bringing Together Community Members to Raise Funds for Programs Benefiting Families Beyond Cancer Treatment
IRVINE, Calif., February 10, 2026 – The Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on transforming pediatric cancer care by accelerating research breakthroughs, today announced that it has partnered with the Bruce Lee Foundation to host “Warriors of Wellness” on February 10 in Laguna Beach. The event will bring together families, community members, advocates and wellness leaders to support youth mental health and survivorship for children and young adults navigating the pediatric cancer journey.
“Our collaboration with the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation reflects a shared dedication to youth mental health and carries forward my father Bruce Lee’s legacy of personal growth and resilience,” said Shannon Lee, Founder, Bruce Lee Foundation. “Pediatric cancer affects the emotional well-being of children and families in lasting ways, and ‘Warriors of Wellness’ creates an opportunity to come together in community and empower families long after treatment.”
Worldwide, more than 400,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year, and in the U.S., pediatric cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease for children under 20. Despite progress, limited research funding has forced many children to rely on treatments originally developed for adults, some of which can have severe, lifelong consequences. Many childhood cancer survivors experience long-term physical and mental health effects, including anxiety, depression and cognitive challenges that persist long after care ends. With only a small share of federal cancer research funding directed toward pediatric cancer, families are left navigating not only a life-altering diagnosis, but the enduring emotional impact that follows.
“At a time when our nation is facing a growing pediatric mental health crisis, children with cancer and their families often carry extraordinary emotional and psychological burdens throughout the cancer journey,” added Danielle Fragalla, CEO, Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation. “To truly care for children and families facing pediatric cancer, we must walk alongside them from diagnosis and treatment through survivorship and long-term wellness. Our partnership with the Bruce Lee Foundation allows us to extend that support in meaningful, family-centered ways.”
“Warriors of Wellness” is part of PCRF’s growing slate of community-focused initiatives designed to support children and families beyond treatment. The event will also celebrate Lunar New Year and feature programming centered on mindfulness, resilience and empowerment.
“Warriors of Wellness” is open to the community, and proceeds raised will support programs that help to ensure children and young adults have access to holistic resources that promote healing and well-being. To register, visit: https://events.rivian.com/warriorsofwellness.
